Our travel and tournament baseball program commences play in April each year and continues through the summer season. The players are selected each July-August in tryouts sessions or players are selected during our organizational Winter Work-Out sessions preceding the season.

At this time there are still limited positions available for the 10u and 11u. Also, our 17u and 18u are still looking for PITCHERS ONLY. Due to any scheduling issues that may arise UTB has the right to change the days and times of any try-out posted on the website. All interested parties will be notified of any changes well in advance.

Tryout information for the 2012 Travel and Diamond League TITAN Teams

Up To Bat Titans Baseball Club will hold an informational meeting for parents and players 15 minutes before the tryout session to provide an overview of the organization and the tournaments offered by UTB.

• Tryout sessions generally require 60-90 minutes to complete
• Please attend the sessions for your age division
• Candidates should arrive 15-30 minutes before the start of the scheduled session to allow adequate time for tryout registration
• Pitchers should be prepared to pitch, Catchers bring your gear
• Players should dress appropriately for the try-outs and be prepared for a complete workout.
  

As a Titan Member your Club fees cover many things:
1) Complete player uniforms
2) All game umpire fees
3) Team equipment and practice/game baseballs
4) Play in 4-5 major tournaments
5) 20-25 pre-season workout sessions
6) Unlimited use of the Batting Cages (upon availability)
7) Team insurance
8) Professional paid Coaching for age division 14u and up

All teams will play a 18-24 game league schedule and be guaranteed 4 tournaments, depending on age group.

Buckeye Elite - Columbus OH, 14u-18u
Battle of the Border - Youngstown OH, 14u-18u
Bay Village Tournament - Bay Village, OH 10u-13U
North Royalton Tournament - North Royalton, OH 10u-13u
Freedom Classic - Akron OH, 12u-18u
Puritas Early Bird - Cleveland, OH, 10u-14u
Memorial Day Tournament - Strongsville OH, 12u-14u
Beast of the East - Wheeling WV, 12u-18u
Michigan USSSA NIT Invitational - Monroe, MI 12U-18U
Tournament schedule for each team will be finalized by February 15th

**Teams have the OK to fundraise on their own to offset some expenses or generate more income to play in additional tournaments.**

The Winter Workout sessions are intended to prepare players for the upcoming spring season. UTB players will have the opportunity to attend 20-25 workout sessions over the winter. These are scheduled twice a week for the players convenience. One session will be as a group session with other age groups and the other will be as a team only session. We like to get our players to attend at least 1 session per week to stay sharp with hitting and fielding drills.

UTB Winter Workouts utilize specialized drills supervised and taught by high school coaches, professional players and/or paid instructors. We have Parent coaching for our younger teams 10-13u teams. For the older Diamond League teams we prefer to hire paid Managers to run the teams. They typically are current or ex-high school baseball coaches, minor league ball players or current local college players.
